I love this. Especially taking a half-day to yourself once a week. I think that frequency could be increased though! I need to really get cracking on my list of resolutions and goals.

I’m super stoked to find out what’s in store for 2010, but in the meantime, I have a bit of a jump on my resolutions, and I already feel more fulfilled:

Eat mostly vegetables. That means being vegan for most of the week.

Juice at least once a day.

Take a half-day to myself once a week. I’m always running around accommodating everyone, except for myself.

I’m cutting out all the people in my life that just bitch and complain. I have too many inspiring friends to waste my time listening to people talk about how bored they are, how tired they are, or how much they hate this or that. It really gets me down, and honestly, I can’t relate.

Do at least one cultural thing a week.

We are twins today. When “Whatever You Like” and “Dead and Gone” came on back to back on my run, I knew it was going to be fantastic.

I got hit by a car while riding my bike in October. I wasn’t seriously injured but I was injured badly enough that I was told I needed to take a complete break from running for a while, perhaps until Christmas. I was going nuts and needed a finals studying break, so here I am all dressed and ready to go on my first run in 6 weeks and my first time back out there since my accident!

I only made it two miles (my injuries began hurting after Mile 1) but I managed a 9:30 pace and currently feel awesome and can’t wait to keep adding mileage as I continue to heal! My Shuffle helped a lot - somehow it knew I would want to jam out to all my favorite T.I. songs for the first time in far too long. (T.I. is my favorite to run to)

FYI, those are Magic Stretch gloves with a pink and purple gripper design on the palms. Whatever, I asked Santa for a real pair of running gloves (necessary, since the Magic Stretch neither wick sweat nor keep my hands warm enough for a run like today’s when it is in the low 30s).
